This is a zero-value personal blog post, emphasis on "zero" and "personal".
Weird times.
How can you describe this? This feels like a massive rug pull.
The massive C-stimulus, zero-rate interest policies, and massive government spending have broken the relationship between interest rates, economic growth, and the stock market.
Everybody is extra gay-bearish, but at the same time, everybody tries to profit before the “collapse” quickly. This is a classic mentality in crypto, but now I see it everywhere. F%uck everybody else, I want to drive to the sunset! Alone preferably.
How do you explain how the biggest stock on the planet trades like a shitcoin? Adding trillions in under one year, erasing 350bn a day, and again adding 250bn and now erasing 300bn?
I have now witnessed the normies' FOMO into these “AI stocks.” The majority of them missed the crypto clown rally in 2020-2021, and now they are doing the same. They are posting wild gains of their portfolio in X. Making money is easy! It is not easy and never will be. Everybody will learn the hard way. When you want to screenshot your portfolio, you should sell.
Currently, we question our fragile reality.
When will the “buy the dip” strategy end? I don’t know, and I don’t care.
Price creates the narrative, and everybody chases it like a hamster. Everything is extremely idiotic, not just the market. This works for me. I am a total idiot.
Oh wow, the economy looks like shit! But the lowering of the interest rates will save us all!
So we have:
Extreme short-termism
Disconnection between market behavior and economic fundamentals
A cynical, every-man-for-himself mentality
Rapid narrative shifts driving volatile price movements
The normalization of speculative, high-risk behavior in mainstream investing
Irrationality is the new rational.
We all truly deserve it to get fucked.
My Monkey Plan for Survival:
Stick to the long-term plan like a stubborn ape clinging to its last banana. Cut emotions to the bone; this is a ruthless game, not a feel-good funhouse. Sleep soundly while others twitch at every market hiccup. Remember, it takes brass balls to run into a burning house, so make sure your home base is fireproof. Got margin called? Game over. The disciplined monkey wins every time, no matter the game.
