What is Bitcoin useful for? It is the world’s best savings account.
“As the first form of digital cash, Bitcoin's first and most important value proposition is in giving anyone in the world access to sovereign base money. Any person who owns Bitcoin achieves a degree of economic freedom which was not possible before its invention. Bitcoin holders can send large amounts of value across the planet without having to ask for the permission of anyone. Bitcoin's value is not reliant on anything physical anywhere in the world and thus can never be completely impeded, destroyed, or confiscated by any of the physical forces of the political or criminal worlds.”

How can I vote? It does not matter who I vote for. Does it make any difference?
I vote with my wallet. That’s the power I have. That's the most significant power we consumers have.
I order my foods straight from the producers (as much as I can).
I work only four days a week. I live in Finland, and there is zero incentive to work more.
I store the majority of my cash in Bitcoin.
Financial freedom depends on many things and how you see it. Is it 1.78 billion?
For some 5k is enough to live a year without needing to work?
Somebody might think that having the most liquid asset traded 24/7 everywhere is financial freedom.
Some believe debt-free, regardless of their savings, is the true marker of financial liberation.
Some measure financial freedom by the peace of mind it grants, knowing they can weather any economic storm.
For others, it's about investing in experiences, memories, and moments rather than accumulating material wealth.
We all see it differently, and it changes over time how we perceive it.
I used to have revenue of 1 million and okay results employing 15 people. I was working 12h and hustling, struggling hard every day. I had a number in my mind that I was chasing…
The Story of the Mexican Fisherman
A banker from the U.S. was on vacation in a Mexican coastal village when he noticed a small boat docking. A single fisherman disembarked, holding several large, fresh fish. The banker complimented the fisherman on his catch and asked how long it took him. The fisherman replied, "Only a little while."
Curious, the banker asked why he didn't stay out longer to catch more fish. The fisherman said he had enough to support his family's needs. The banker then asked what he did with the rest of his time. The fisherman explained he slept late, fished a bit, played with his kids, took siestas with his wife, and strolled into the village every evening to drink wine and play guitar with his friends.
The banker suggested the fisherman could expand his fishing venture by investing in more boats, catching more fish, and eventually owning a fleet. He could then sell directly to a processor, open his own factory, and even move to a big city to manage his enterprise.
"How long would this all take?" asked the fisherman. The banker replied, "15-20 years."
"And then what?" asked the fisherman.
The banker said, "Then you could retire, live in a small coastal village, sleep late, fish a bit, play with your grandkids, take siestas, and spend your evenings drinking wine and playing guitar with your friends."
The fisherman smiled and said, "Isn't that what I'm already doing?"
Sometimes it is “okay” to step back. I am currently wondering what the fuck do next. I already chased the number without questioning why?
Say what you will about Chamath Palihapitiya, his tactics and controversies aside, he's not wrong here. Money drives the world. Hate him or love him, this message holds weight.
For now, I find peace of mind in simplicity. Bitcoin is simple.
While the definition of financial freedom is ever-evolving, one thing remains constant: autonomy, choice, and aligning with our true purpose.
I am grateful today I could buy just a tiny bit of sats. It is becoming a rare luxury in today’s world…
How do you define your financial freedom? In a world filled with noise, atrocity, and struggle porn. What choices are you making to find your own simplicity and purpose?
